Tairua Pauanui Promotions run the New years EVE fire works display
The Firework display in managed in in many stages though out the year.
Funding is done in two stages
1) Cut off for applying to Council which council sends a Expenditure Declaration Form that has to sent back by 30 June for $6000.00, then after that down load from Council application form and sent back by 31st of July
2) Letter to The chair of The Tauria Pauanui Community Board for ratepayers donations
Van Tiel Pyrotechnics have been setting up the display since 1999
Van Tiel need to be contacted two months before event.

Van Tiel sets pyrotechnics a day before the event on the badge provide by Taruia Pauanui Promotions which was held at the Waterways third stage. Garry Reynolds was the coordinator.
